Visit Quad Cities, the regional cultural and tourism bureau, looked to expand their presence in each of the communities that make up the Quad Cities area. One of the first major projects for the organization, was to transform the 1923 Union Station building, located in downtown Davenport, Iowa, into a non-traditional visitor center. The Georgian Revival building’s historical look and feel was a perfect location to juxtapose the region’s past with the modern, vibrant, and growing community offerings.
Edwards Creative conceptualized, designed, constructed, and installed a unique experience that highlights the Visit Quad Cities brand while engaging visitors and citizens with hands-on and educational experiences. With these goals in mind, the creative team developed a truly unique comprehensive conceptual design package that was fabricated in-house and installed for Union Station.
