Edwards Creative partnered with the Hurstville Interpretive Center in Maquoketa, Iowa, to bring their 20th-anniversary exhibit to life, crafting a truly immersive experience that celebrates Iowa’s diverse natural landscapes. The project includes a stunning hill prairie diorama with lifelike taxidermy, engaging flip-and-learn / spin-and-learn tactile interactives, and a hand-carved walk-through cave, complete with detailed formations and inlaid displays. Visitors also encounter a woodland diorama featuring a magnificent 14’ white oak centerpiece, authentic\ taxidermy, and a reading rail—all seamlessly tied together by a breathtaking 250-square-foot mural depicting the region’s natural habitats.
Over two years, Edwards Creative transformed a sketched concept into a reality, showcasing the team’s skill in design and fabrication with unparalleled detail. Their masterful use of materials and precise craftsmanship allowed the creation of realistic textures and forms that invite hands-on exploration and deeper learning.
